Men Mentors Needed!!!!
Special request...the school has asked that if there are any men than would be willing and able to share one hour each week with this ministry, there are some boys that so need the impact of a positive male figure in their lives. I can’t stress enough how important this ministry...YOUR ministry, could be in the life of a young man. Ongoing Construction Schedule Thanks to all the dedicated volunteer labor, much progress has been made but there’s still work to be done. In order to keep everyone informed and updated on what work is available and the needs, we’d like to be able to send out email updates, so if you haven’t already, please drop me an email and we’ll add you to the list for work updates. Or join our FB group and we’ll keep you posted there. Also, if you didn’t get a skills assessment form, here’s one. Skills Form.pdf. Just download, fill it out and drop it off with the office or Brandon.

On-going Needs
There’s always staffing needs so keep an eye on the bulletin for where those openings may be.
Awana 2011-2012 Awana kicked off September 21st this year and runs on Wednesday evenings at 6:30PM. Our leaders this year are co-commanders Ruth Weyers and Kris Wang Dare, with Rachel Basalay our new Sparks Director. Also new this year is our games leader, Jason Blessman, who will be leading all age groups. See the bulletin for areas of need in this rewarding ministry to our youth, or call the office at 309-647-4278 to volunteer. For more information regarding Awana, click on this link. Pieces of Eight
If you’re new to the church or just haven’t ever gotten around to signing up for Pieces of 8, this is an opportunity to gather together for food, fun and fellowship with one another on a monthly basis and is a great way to get to know others in the group better. It’s also an excellent opportunity to invite new couples to the church, to join in the fun as a way of outreach. There will be a new grouping beginning in September, so stop by the table in the foyer and sign up. If you have any questions, you can contact Karen Hickman at 224-9696.
